Experience the thrill of wilderness whitewater rafting on the glacier-fed Kennicott River in the largest National Park in the United States. The Wrangell St. Elias National Park is made up of over 5000 miles of glaciers and several rivers that flow from them. The isolation and grandeur of the mountains and glacial peaks will fill you with awe as you glide past them. This is an experience you won’t want to miss!
Copper Oar Adventure offers a full Alaskan rafting experience with a four hour float trip from the Kennicott River to the Chitina River in the heart of the National Park. Along the way, enjoy some of Alaska’s most spectacular scenery. Many of these rivers are inaccessible except by raft or boat and offer gorgeous views of wildflowers in the summer. Watch carefully and you may get a glimpse of grizzly bears, moose, dall sheep, mountain goats or buffalo along the river shores. When your raft trip ends at the Chitina River a small airplane awaits you to fly you back to McCarthy.
