KENNICOTT GLACIER LODGE is seeking a few hardworking, team oriented, adventurous people to work with us in the Alaskan wilderness this summer. Living and working at Kennicott in the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park offers an opportunity for a unique (and some say life-changing) lifestyle in a spectacular mountain setting. The Lodge Staff is a community of about 30 people, ranging in age from 16 to 65. We share our summer home with up to 75 Guests per day from all over the world.
Working here can be an opportunity to learn a variety of skills and develop a strong work ethic, and it can be a place to grow professionally as a chef, baker, maintenance worker, or customer service representative. Each summer we employ people as housekeepers and servers, dishwashers, cooks, bakers, maintenance staff, front desk hosts, and drivers. About one half of our Staff return from year to year, and each year we look forward to welcoming a few new people to join us.

A sense of place grows from the earnest work of maintaining this enterprise, from the camaraderie and friendships that grow, and from our commitment to provide the best quality experience for our Guests in a setting that is beyond compare.
Wages are paid monthly. Pay is based on an hourly rate and a 5-day workweek. Gratuities are pooled and divided equally among all staff. There is no charge for room or board, and we provide transportation from Anchorage to Kennicott and return. There is also a season completion bonus, which will usually cover transportation to Alaska for out-of-state employees.
